counties within some states. For specific Motorcycle Trailer information, contact your local county or

Trailer Selling Guide part 1 |
|
The following is
a guide to selling Trailers or ANYTHING Online.
Selling can be difficult when your competition
is selling the same product you are. Standing
out from your competition may well be the
difference between making the sale or not. This
Trailer selling guide will cover a number of key
points to help you post a successful
Trailer
Classified Ad. Or get top dollar on any
online auction. I have used these proven methods
to actually purchase items online or off and
resell them for two, three or even more times
the purchase price.
The first step to
selling your Trailer or item is to getting it ready. If
it's a Cargo Trailer and you are using it as
storage clean it out. Don't wait until you have
a buyer. Pull it out into an open area if
it hasn't been used in a while you will need to
inspect the trailer. A good time to inspect your
trailer is while you are cleaning and washing
it. Also make sure the lights work and lastly
find the paper work
Next we will look
at your Trailer Ad. No matter what type of
trailer you are
Selling Cargo, Motorcycle,
Utility or Horse Trailer, these tips will help
get results. Lets look at two trailer ads. This
first ad came straight off an online site. It
took 30 seconds to find an ad that demonstrated
what not to do. The ad is entirely as it was on
the website. The second ad is a revised version
of the first.
The Tale of Two ATV Utility Trailers
It’s OK to use all caponized letters in your
trailer Ad title
or capitulation but avoid all small letters also
always try to fill the title with the allowed
amount of characters. |

Confessing order no tabs or indents. Don't say conflicting statements
Like "brand new Cargo Trailer" then the next
sentence state "Cargo Trailer used very little"
brand new 5x8 utility trailer with title. Used only a
few times. Requires 1 7/8 "ball. Manufactured
6/05. Has metal mesh floor for easy clean off or
could be layered with full sheet treated plywood
if needed. Has safety chains and flat four
wiring harness for lights. Great for light
hauling. Light weight trailer, pulls nicely
behind truck or car. Enough room for most tasks.
I am not offering shipping but will deliver to
anywhere for the cost of the trip. Happy
bidding!
Don't waste space describing the obvious or that
could be easily viewed in a better photo.
The
below text was added a few days after it was
posted. Try to anticipate questions people may have
about the item. BEFORE YOU POST
I am truly SORRY!!! this cargo trailer
is a 4x8 not a 5x8 as advertised has a weight
capacity of #2000 lbs. has aprox. 200 miles on
it. tires still have the nipples on
them....pulls very well.. I've pulled it behind
my 1 ton van and behind my 4-cylinder truck and
you hardly notice the difference... i was using

Revised Trailer For
Sale Ad
The title should be terms that are searched for.
If you bought the trailer to haul an ATV or
Motorcycle chances are that's what your buyer
wants it for.

Honesty
always pays.
|
|
Avoid vague ads or incomplete information. A
poorly written Trailer Classified ad can portray
a lack of honesty The.”Don’t ask don’t tell”
attitude is NEVER a good idea in selling your
trailer. A poorly written ad will almost always
cost you more time from answering question and
money from lost potential customers. Try
to anticipate questions people may have about
the Trailer and add it to the ad.
If your trailer has a slow air leak in one of
the tires and a cracked taillight lens fix it
before you sell it or disclose it in your ad. I
cannot stress enough the importance of
confidence. The internet has so changed the
selling landscape. In the past classified ads
had a local audience today your ad reaches far
more potential customers. Don't ever
underestimate how far someone is willing to
drive to buy your trailer. I could give hundreds
of examples of customers traveling more then 300
miles to purchase an item that wasn't in any way
rare.
